Harare, Zimbabwe – (African Boulevard News) – Zimbabwe international footballer Marshall Munetsi has received praise from FIFA President Gianni Infantino for his selfless charity work, aimed at empowering underprivileged children across the country. Infantino commended Munetsi for his philanthropic efforts, which he described as a remarkable demonstration of leadership and a testament to the power of sport to make a positive impact.

Munetsi, who currently plays for French club Stade de Reims, started the Marshall Munetsi Foundation in 2019 to support underprivileged children in Zimbabwe and provide them with educational opportunities to help them excel in life. The foundation focuses on providing school fees, uniforms, and basic school supplies to disadvantaged children as well as delivering soccer clinics and tournaments.

Infantino, who was speaking during a virtual meeting with the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), said Munetsi has set a great example for other footballers to follow. “Marshall’s work with his foundation is truly inspiring and shows how footballers can use their position to make a positive impact in their communities,” said Infantino.

The young midfielder, who has been capped 16 times for the Zimbabwe national team, said he was humbled by the recognition from the FIFA President and pledged to continue using his platform to help those in need. “I am honored to receive recognition from the FIFA President and this will motivate me to do more for the children who need our support. Every child deserves to have access to education and basic needs, and I will not stop until we make that a reality,” said Munetsi.

Munetsi’s foundation has already made a significant impact on the lives of many children in Zimbabwe, providing them with a chance to pursue their dreams and break the cycle of poverty in their families. The footballer’s dedication to philanthropy has won him admiration from both local and international communities, with many people calling on other footballers to emulate his example.

In conclusion, Munetsi’s charity work through his foundation, aimed at empowering underprivileged children in Zimbabwe, has earned him praise from FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Infantino commended Munetsi for his remarkable demonstration of leadership, and noted that the footballer’s efforts show the power of sport to make a positive impact in society.
