Accra, Ghana – (African Boulevard News) – Tamale City put up a brilliant performance to crush King Faisal 4-0 in their Week 30 Ghana Premier League fixture at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday. This result ensured that King Faisal was relegated into the drop zone of the league table.

From the blast of the whistle, Tamale City was on the front foot, attacking the visitors with pace and precision. Their efforts paid off in the 14th minute when Abdulai Alhassan broke the deadlock with a sublime curler from the edge of the box. This goal gave Tamale City the confidence to push forward even more. In the 24th minute, they doubled their lead through Prince Adjei who finished off a fantastic team move.

King Faisal was shell-shocked and couldn’t muster any meaningful response to Tamale City’s dominance. The home side continued their onslaught and was rewarded with another goal in the 35th minute when Ibrahim Osman, Tamale City’s talismanic midfielder, scored from the spot. King Faisal’s misery was compounded with an own goal in the 84th minute as they struggled to cope with Tamale City’s attacking prowess.

Tamale City’s head coach, Bashir Hayford, was elated with his team’s performance, highlighting the importance of teamwork and tactical discipline. He said, “We worked hard during the week because we knew this was a must-win game. The players executed our game plan perfectly, and I’m proud of them”.

King Faisal’s coach, Nana Andy Sinason, lamented his team’s poor showing and promised to bounce back in their next match. He said, “It’s a disappointing result for us, but we’ll keep pushing. We still have five games to play, and anything can happen in football”.

Tamale City’s victory moved them to 10th place on the league table, while King Faisal dropped to the relegation zone. With just five games remaining in the season, the relegation battle is heating up, and every game is crucial for teams at the bottom of the table.

In conclusion, Tamale City’s emphatic victory over King Faisal was a testament to their attacking prowess and tactical discipline. They thoroughly deserved the three points and will look to build on this result in their next match. King Faisal, on the other hand, needs to regroup quickly and bounce back if they want to avoid relegation.
