    Rabat, Morocco – (African Boulevard News) – Morocco’s U-17 team earned a hard-fought victory against Mali in Sunday’s TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final, with coach Said Chiba praising the patience and organisation of his team after the win.

    “Everyone played their part, and I thank the players for their efforts. The technical staff also deserves praise for the work they put in,” said Chiba, who was delighted with his team’s showing in the game. “We were patient and organized throughout the match, and it paid off in the end.”

    The game was a tightly contested affair, with both teams failing to find the back of the net in extra time, leading to a penalty shootout. The Moroccans kept their cool under pressure, scoring all six of their penalties to earn a place in the tournament’s final.

    Morocco has been in imperious form throughout the tournament, winning all their matches before the semi-final win against Mali. The team has scored 11 goals and only conceded one goal in the tournament thus far.

    The final will take place on Friday, with Morocco facing the winner of the clash between Nigeria and Guinea. Chiba’s youngsters will be confident of lifting the trophy on home soil, and the coach will be hoping for a repeat of their performance in the semi-final.
