    Dakar, Senegal – (African Boulevard News) – After a grueling match, Senegal’s under-17 team, nicknamed the “Lion Cubs,” made it to the Total Energies U17 Africa Cup of Nations final for the first time ever. The team held their nerve through a heart-wrenching penalty shootout to beat Burkina Faso 5-4 at the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba on Sunday.

    The semi-final match was a heated encounter that seemed destined for a goalless draw, but the Lions Cubs found a way to overcome the determined Burkina Faso team. The stalemate persisted through extra time, leading up to the nail-biting penalty shoot-out.
