The match was a high-stakes affair, with both teams fighting tooth and nail to progress to the next round of the tournament.
The game started on a high note, with Asec Mimosas showing their attacking prowess early on. They created several chances in the opening minutes of the match, but were unable to capitalize on them. In the second half, US Monastir looked to come back into the game, but Asec Mimosas were resolute at the back, and they kept the Tunisian side at bay. Asec Mimosas doubled their lead in the 75th minute, with another goal from a player named Zouzoua. The goal effectively sealed the win for Asec Mimosas, and they progressed to the semi-finals of the competition.
