Abuja, Nigeria – (African Boulevard News) – The U17 Afcon tournament continues to produce heart-stopping moments as Morocco beats Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets 1-0 in a thrilling encounter.

In the 2nd minute, Morocco took the lead via an unfortunate own goal by Nigeria’s Tochukwu Ogboji. The Golden Eaglets did not give up and were giving their all to secure a comeback, but their efforts were continuously thwarted by the Moroccan defense.

Despite the valiant effort of the Nigerian team, they were unable to find the back of the net throughout the game. The Moroccan team put up a resilient defense, and whenever Nigeria came close to scoring, they were shut down by Morocco’s goalkeeper.

This result puts Morocco in a good position to advance to the knockout stage, while Nigeria needs to win their next game to keep their hopes of progressing alive.

Coach Fatai Amoo was proud of his team’s performance and stated that they will bounce back in their next match. “We played well, but unfortunately, we could not convert our chances. We will work on our finishing and come back stronger in the next game.”

The U17 Afcon tournament has been a showcase of the immense talent in African football, with several teams putting up impressive performances. The Golden Eaglets will be hoping to join the likes of Cameroon, Guinea, and Morocco in the knockout stages.

In conclusion, despite the loss, the Golden Eaglets should hold their heads high as they put up a great effort against a strong Moroccan team. As the tournament progresses, the stakes will only get higher, and with their fighting spirit, Nigeria has a great chance of bouncing back in their next game.
