Abuja, Nigeria – (African Boulevard News) – Nigeria’s labour unions have made the decision to suspend their indefinite strike following the government’s announcement of measures to address the mounting cost of living. In a joint statement, the two main trade unions confirmed the suspension and expressed hope for positive change in the country.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) had initially called for the nationwide strike in response to the deteriorating economic conditions faced by the citizens.
